PROJECT HISTORY:
Linda Zolten Wood was given Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson's Sustainability Hero Award at the Summit 2014. The Office of Sustainability created posters promoting grassroots and citywide sustainability efforts, and chose my project to hilight.
LZW created and directs this project for regional residents to embrace water conservation in a new artistic and fun way.
Sustainable Cleveland 2019 supported the greater Painted Rain Barrel Project.
Michel Hodges RN and I wrote a grant based on arts and health bringing a vegetable garden, painted rain barrel, arts and movement classes for the seniors of Rose Center for Aging Well, formerly Lakeshore Golden Age Center. The project was funded by Kresge Corporation and Collinwood 2015 through Northeast Shores Development Corporation.

Cavotta's donated all of our vegetable plants for the first garden box.
We booked a tour and lunch with the seniors to the garden center, where much fun was had!
The seniors used their produce vouchers to shop for fresh produce.
Chef Kimberly Homan prepared fresh salsa for the seniors to taste and enjoy.
